Rev. Mark Lancaster was appointed by Dr. David Graves to the office of superintendent of the South Arkansas District in September 2021. At the time, Mark had been serving for 28 years at Grace Church in Memphis, TN. Prior to that, he pastored in Grenada (MS), Abilene (TX), and Clearwater (FL). 

 

Mark and his wife Vanessa met in Jackson, MS, while he was a youth and music pastor at Jackson Emmanuel and working on his master’s degree at Wesley Biblical Seminary. They are thankful for their children - Vicki (Mike) DeCuypere and Josh (Kristen) Lancaster. They both are crazy about their two grandsons, Chase and Cannon.

 

Mark loves to watch college sports and is a fan of a SEC team that he will keep to himself  . . . big Atlanta Braves fan as well. Family is his main hobby but he also enjoys fishing and will play a round of golf.

Vanessa and Mark are thankful for their South Arkansas church family.

 

They have a true love for them and desire the district to experience the reality of Ephesians 3:20: “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
